Mission Funds
As a hospital designed by our founding Catholic Sisters not for profit, but for people, SSM Health St. Anthony has always relied upon charitable donations to meet the health care needs of our community.
We are committed to providing exceptional, compassionate and “patient-centered” health care to all, including our community’s most vulnerable. This is our mission, our sacred trust and our moral obligation.
Care & Compassion Fund
More than 100 years ago, our founding Sisters set a precedent: care and compassion for all.
People come to SSM Health from all walks of life, knowing they can count on exceptional care and compassion from our physicians and staff. The Care & Compassion Fund provides basic needs, such as weather appropriate clothing and shoes, to low-income or uninsured patients so they can continue healing after discharge.
Sisters Fund
Help patients get the medication they need.
SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital’s founding Sisters firmly believed that each patient should be valued as a unique human being worthy of healing. To honor their legacy and the compassion of one special woman, Sister Rosina Higgs, the Sisters Fund was created to offer medication to patients in need.
By donating to the Sisters Fund, you’re providing life-saving prescriptions to a patient in need. Each year, the Sisters Fund provides $100,000 in prescription medications that offer essential care and healing.
Shawnee Compassion Fund
Newly established in May 2021, the Shawnee Compassion Fund provides basic needs, such as weather appropriate clothing and shoes, prescription medications, transportation solutions and more to vulnerable, low-income or uninsured patients at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital – Shawnee so they can continue healing after discharge.
