Memorial & Healing Gardens
Hospice Hope & Remembrance Gardens
SSM Health Hospice Home of Hope is a residential facility providing care to individuals diagnosed with a terminal illness and a life expectancy of less than six months.
The Remembrance Gardens, located at the SSM Health Hospice Home of Hope, have been designed as a place of tribute to lovingly remember those important people who are no longer with us in this life. The Remembrance Gardens have been established through generous donations to the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation.
Bricks on the Remembrance Garden walls are placed in memory or honor of individuals whose lives have been touched by the care of SSM Health Hospice Home of Hope.

Angel of Hope Memorial & Healing Garden
The Angel of Hope was first introduced in The Christmas Box, a worldwide bestseller by author Richard Paul Evans. In the story, a woman mourns the death of her little girl by making regular visits to the child’s grave, marked by an angel statue.
The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation presents The Christmas Box Angel of Hope™ Memorial and Healing Garden, which is located on the Agnesian HealthCare grounds.
These special gardens offer a place for families to find peace and comfort as they heal after the loss of a child.
Dedicated in 2005, this healing garden project was launched with a generous start-up gift from the Eloise R. Atkinson Foundation.
